TCEA 2025

Thank you to everyone who attended my featured presentation session at this year's TCEA conference in Austin! I want to personally thank Jeannine Freeman and Stephanie Galvan-Russell for making sure that I had a platform this year at the conference as a presenter. You two are simply the best!

As promised, here are my session slides for those that attended my sessions. Please let me know how I can support you in anyway.

Navigating the Digital Divide in 2025

I also had the opportunity to speak on TCEA's featured podcast, edtechbites, hosted by Gabriel Carrillo with folks I admire: Jorge Valenzuela and Andre Daughty. We quickly formed a bond and named ourselves the Tech Thrillas. 😂 Sign up at the edtechbites website so you don't miss our episode!

Last, but certainly not least, I want to thank my son, Julian. He served as a teen expert on my "Navigating the Digital Divide in 2025" presentation, offering his perspective on how the pandemic affected his learning and what engages students now in this digital age of intelligence. But, what you all don't know is that while I was attending TCEA, my father had a stroke and was in ICU back home in Houston. I had to put on a brave face while my heart was breaking, leaving the conference early to be with my father. My son stepped up: distracting me from the heavy moments and hugging me in those moments when the tears fell. So, JJ, I love and thank you. Here he is lip-singing one of my favorite 1980s song by Frank Stallone, "Moody Girl," to keep my spirits up while I awaited audience arrival. Whether Sly or Frank, I love me some Stallone brothers!🥰

Please tag me if I took a photo with you. I didn't take one photo personally on my phone, which is unlike me. However, in my defense, I was juggling a lot and my thoughts were back at home. These are the only pics I have thus far:
